Workforce Development Pathways

The Workforce Development Pathways Grant provides funding from the California Department of Education to support the growth and development of early learning professionals right here in Tehama County. This program helps increase the number of qualified early childhood educators while supporting current professionals in advancing their education, skills, and credentials, all to better serve young children and families.

Through this grant, early educators can earn stipends by participating in professional growth opportunities such as licensing, professional development, UPK Learning Series trainings, education programs, or permit advancement. Stipend amounts are based on program completion and are issued at the end of the program year once a participant’s Workforce Survey is submitted.

Please note: The Workforce Application for this year is now closed. The next application period will open in August 2026.

If you’re interested in growing your career and making a difference in the lives of children and families, this is a great opportunity!
