Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN)

Looking for child care that feels like family and supports your child’s learning? Our Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) is a group of licensed, nurturing providers offering quality care for children from birth through 12 years old. These home-based programs are designed to support each child’s development in a way that is age appropriate, culturally responsive, and tailored to their needs.

This program offers subsidized child care for families in Tehama County who qualify based on income or family situation.

Who is eligible?

Families may qualify if they:

  • Meet income guidelines (sliding scale)
  • Receive CalWORKs/cash aid
  • Are experiencing homelessness
  • Have a child with a Child Protective Services (CPS) or at-risk referral

What are the qualifying needs for care?

Families must also have a need for child care services, such as:

  • Being employed
  • Looking for work
  • Attending school or training
  • Seeking housing
  • Being unable to care for their child due to medical or mental health reasons
